Breakfast in Bed

Ahhh.... This morning Dave and I were treated to Breakfast in Bed. At 8 a.m., Nicole (who is 5) came to our room with a "menu" (which was a bunch of squiggly lines and a few pictures) and told us to choose what we wanted for breakfast. The choices were french toast or bread. :) We chose french toast. lol! Not long after, the three younger kids, McKay (12) and Jaylyn (7) and Nicole came marching into our room with a cookie sheet with french toast, butter, syrup and 2 cups. Jaylyn was holding a carafe of orange juice. They were so proud of themselves! Nicole wanted to sit on the edge of the bed and watch us eat. (getting a few bites here and there) While we ate, they served Keeley (16) breakfast in bed, and then Nicole went back to bed so they could bring her breakfast. LOL! Jaylyn had breakfast in bed and then... McKay cooked his own breakfast and the girls served it to him in bed!

What great kids... they have good hearts. The kitchen wasn't as bad as I expected and the experience was well worth cleaning up the mess. Love comes in all forms... this morning it was French Toast.
